Conference Scholarship Opportunities

The NevAEYC is happy to announce conference scholarship opportunities for early childhood professionals! The following scholarships are currently available:

NevAEYC Conference Scholarship: Children in Transition
Scholarship funding provided by the Nevada Department of Education

The NevAEYC has been awarded funding to support conference scholarships for early childhood educators working with low-income, at-risk, or homeless children ages 0–8 years. The scholarship includes conference registration, the cost to attend the NevAEYC Conference Networking Event, and up to $300 reimbursement for related travel expenses.

Please review the below eligibility requirements before submitting the conference scholarship application.

Scholarship eligibility requirements include:

  • Resident of the State of Nevada
  • Works with children 0–8 years old
  • Works in an at-risk, low income environment
  • Agrees to attend a minimum of one preselected conference sessions addressing homelessness and children in transition
  • Is a current member of NAEYC
  • Agrees to bring a new pair of athletic shoes and a package of socks for donation to the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation

To be considered for a scholarship, completed applications must be received by 8:00 am, Friday, March 2, 2012. Incomplete and/or late applications will not be accepted. Applications must be filled out and submitted by the participant and cannot be entered by another person (such as center or program directors.) Scholarship winners will be contacted by phone on Friday, March 9, 2012.

Southern Nevada Conference Scholarship:
Funding provided by the Southern Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children

The Southern Nevada Association for the Education of Young Children (SNAEYC) has provided NevAEYC with funding to support conference scholarships for Southern Nevada residents working in early childhood with priority given to SNAEYC members. The scholarship includes conference registration for Thursday – Saturday and the cost to attend the NevAEYC Conference Networking Event.

Please review the below eligibility requirements before submitting the conference scholarship application.

Scholarship eligibility requirements include:

  • Works in the field of ECE in Southern Nevada
  • Current member of The Nevada Registry
  • Priority is given to SNAEYC members
  • Agrees to bring a new pair of athletic shoes and a package of socks for donation to the Goodie Two Shoes Foundation

Applications must be filled out and submitted by the participant and cannot be entered by another person (such as center or program directors.)
