Nevada Early Childhood Conference

Mark your calendars now to save the date! The 2008 NevAEYC Annual Conference is set for April 10-12 in Las Vegas.

This year's conference will be held at the Tuscany Suites and Casino.

$85.00 per guestroom, per night Sunday through Thursday, single or double occupancy.
$135.00 per guestroom, per night Friday and Saturday, single or double occupancy.

Guests will need to make their hotel reservations directly with the Tuscany. Call Tuscany Room Reservations Department at (877) 887-2261 and ask for NevAEYC group rates by March 9,2008. Reservation requests received after the March 9, 2008 cutoff will be confirmed on a space available basis at the prevailing rate available.

Interested in presenting a session at this year’s conference? Submit a proposal to the conference committee. The due date for presenter proposals for the 2008 NevAEYC Early Childhood Conference has been extended to December 15, 2007. In particular, the committee is looking for more sessions that address Environment & Curriculum (activities I can implement in my classroom tomorrow), Leadership & Professional Development, and Management & Administration.

  1. Appropriate Assessment for Young Children by Dr. Samuel Meisels of the Erikson Institute and
  2. DEC Recommended Practices in Early Childhood Classrooms - Inclusion by Sarah A. Mullligan of the National DEC
