Electronic Mailing Lists

NevAEYC has two electronic mailing lists which are open to members and the larger ECE community. The first list is called NEVAEYCNEWS-L and is a distribution list only. It is used to distribute the NevAEYC quarterly newsletter and other news and updates. This list does not allow you to respond or use it for discussions. The second list is called ECEPUBLICPOLICY-L and is a discussion forum for issues related to ECE and NevAEYC. This list is interactive and allows subscribers to post messages to the entire list.

In order to participate in the electronic lists, you need to “subscribe” to them. After you subscribe you will automatically receive messages from the lists via your email account. To subscribe to the lists, follow these steps:

For the NEVAEYCNEWS-L list (to receive the newsletter, announcements, updates, etc.)

1. Open a new email message from the email account you want to subscribe with
2. Address the email message to LISTSERV@listserv.tmcc.edu
3. Leave the subject line blank
4. In the body of the message, type the following message:
        Subscribe NEVAEYCNEWS-L (your first name) (your last name)
   Enter your own name instead of the words in the parenthesis. For example:
        Subscribe NEVAEYCNEWS-L Mary Smith
   You do not need to include your email address – LISTSERV will automatically use the address you send the email from.

For the ECEPUBLICPOLICY-L list (to participate in discussions and reply to others)

1. Open a new email message from the email account you want to subscribe with
2. Address the email message to LISTSERV@listserv.tmcc.edu
3. Leave the subject line blank
4. In the body of the message, type the following message:
        Subscribe ECEPUBLICPOLICY-L (your first name) (your last name)
   Enter your own name instead of the words in the parenthesis. For example:
       Subscribe ECEPUBLICPOLICY-L Mary Smith
   (You do not need to include your email address – LISTSERV will automatically use the address you send the email from.)

You will receive a confirmation email from LISTSERV, which you will need to respond to. Follow the instructions in the email to confirm your subscription. Once you confirm and have been added to the list, you will also receive a welcome message. When you no longer wish to be part of the list, you will also need to “unsubscribe” yourself. NevAEYC Quarterly E-Newsletter

Nevada AEYC publishes a quarterly electronic newsletter. The goal of the newsletter is to communicate with members in a timely and effective way. We hope the newsletter provides accurate and interesting articles that acknowledge the amazing work being done in Nevada's ECE community; as well as creates connections among our members and the leadership of Nevada's state and local affiliate chapters.

Newsletter Deadlines and Submissions

Newsletters are published according to the following schedule.

Newsletter contributions should be sent (simple Word documents please) to cswank@tmcc.edu. The NevAEYC reserves the right to edit all contributions for length and appropriate content.
