In an effort to recruit and nurture emerging leaders in the field of Early Childhood Education, NevAEYC sponsored the Emerging Leaders scholarship program. Applicants from around the state were reviewed and recipients selected during the fall of 2008. Twenty five individuals representing the north, south, and rural parts of Nevada were selected to receive a one-year comprehensive membership to NevAEYC and priority to attend the NevAEYC pre-conference day at the Nevada Legislature during the 2009 conference in Reno. In return, the recipients agreed to provide leadership in some way during the 2009 year. Congratulations to the following recipients of the 2009 Emerging Leaders Scholarships!
